There was also a keynote presentation (and performance) by Prof. Atau Tanaka (Goldsmiths, U. London). Participation was open to all international PhD students conducting research on computer-based systems for interactive sound, in particular combined with image. 2015/05/20 AVZones performance, Mono Shop Berlin

On 20/05/2015, I had my first performance with the AVZones project, at the Mono Shop space opening, in Berlin. I performed solo, and also played with Taavi “Miisu” Varm (approximately 20 minutes each performance). The AVZones project is still work in process, so this performance was useful to try out the tool in a live context, and obtain feedback from the audience.

2015/03/20 Alexandrinsky Theatre presentation, St. Petersburg

On the 20th March 2015, I presented my recent work and research at the Alexandrinsky theatre, New Stage building, St. Petersburg. The focus of my presentation was the Gen.AV workshop, hackathon and performance. The Alexandrinsky theatre is one of the most renowned theatres in St. Petersburg, and its New Stage (in a separate building from the main stage) is dedicated to more experimental and exploratory approaches, with an emphasis in integration of new media elements. Event link:
