2018/10/04 SIIDS Doctoral Symposium @ Madeira-ITI
SIIDS – Sound, Image and Interaction Doctoral Symposium (4/10/2018) was hosted by M-ITI – Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute (Funchal, Portugal), and had two tracks: poster (with oral presentation) and performance. There was also a keynote presentation (and performance) by Prof. Atau Tanaka (Goldsmiths, U. London). Participation was open to all international PhD students conducting research on computer-based systems for interactive sound, in particular combined with image. We had 9 participants for the poster track, and 2 for the performance track. The Symposium was preceded by a talk (3/10/2018) by Fabio Morreale (Queen Mary U. London).

2015/07/30 Gen.AV 2 Presentation @ Goldsmiths
On 30/July/2015, we presented the results from the second Gen.AV hackathon, at Goldsmiths, University of London. I talked about the research component of Gen.AV, and the different groups performed with their projects.

2015/05/20 AVZones performance, Mono Shop Berlin
On 20/05/2015, I had my first performance with the AVZones project, at the Mono Shop space opening, in Berlin. I performed solo, and also played with Taavi “Miisu” Varm (approximately 20 minutes each performance). The AVZones project is still work in process, so this performance was useful to try out the tool in a live context, and obtain feedback from the audience.

2015/03/20 Alexandrinsky Theatre presentation, St. Petersburg
On the 20th March 2015, I presented my recent work and research at the Alexandrinsky theatre, New Stage building, St. Petersburg. The focus of my presentation was the Gen.AV workshop, hackathon and performance. The Alexandrinsky theatre is one of the most renowned theatres in St. Petersburg, and its New Stage (in a separate building from the main stage) is dedicated to more experimental and exploratory approaches, with an emphasis in integration of new media elements. 2015/03/05 London Music Hackspace presentation
On 5/March/2015, I presented my latest work on audiovisuals at the London Music Hackspace. The emphasis was on Gen.AV. I presented the results of the Gen.AV hackathon and resulting performance. I also proposed to organize a second Gen.AV hackathon at the Music Hackspace.
